That illustrates the problem, the woman is making $35k a year and will receive an $11.5k subsidy to buy insurance, which is about 1/3 of her income ... the universe does not exist in which that makes sense. Imagine what an extra $11.5k a year would mean to her quality of life if she didn't have to spend it on insurance.
