MARKET TALK: New 2-Year Notes Yield 1.000%; 3.00 Bid To Cover

1703 GMT [Dow Jones] New 2-yr notes come in at 1.000% yield, above the 0.991% yield on the when-issued notes just before the sale, meaning the govt had to pay up to find the notes a home. The auction was three times oversubscribed with a bid to cover of 3.00, below the 3.33 at the Feb. sale and also under the 3.13 four auction average. Direct bid 14%, indirect 35%.
