I'm at a loss to see why the shorts are all over EBIX! There are so many other companies in this universe that one can question the valuation models. I just don't see the cracks in the balance sheet, the income statement or how the competition is going to eat their lunch? I don't get it at all! 10 million shares short, about 1/3 of the float, seems so excessive that its hard to fathom the reasoning behind this. Simply a guess but it looks like more bad bets were being placed while the short term trend was down. My guess is they are trapped and are hoping for some type of market shock to find their way out of the mess they are in. who knows?
