So if Joe Six Pack expects me to take care of him,
and the law requires me to take care of him,
what's wrong with the law requiring him to have insurance?

Think about it - it's provocative

IMO that's going to be the effect of this bill,
to get Americans to realize that they expect an
entitlement, and they are going to have to pay
for it somehow.

If you don't like the govt requiring people to have
insurance, consider the other option: tax citizens
to the extent that the govt provides medical care
for everyone. I don't think that's a popular idea.

It's an ethical and philosophical contradiction
that has to be resolved politically and legally,
so pick your poison.
