Keeping more of the money you earned is not "welfare."

Kind of stupid for the government to create a "progressive" tax curve just to make up for the tax breaks that most Americans take, such as mortgage interest.

That's one reason why many Americans are stuck in upside-down mortgages, for instance. People are told to own their own home. It makes good tax sense, and you can't make more land, they say.

Only problem is that this helped feed the bubble, and lots of people cashed out ... tax free.

Now you're saying those who have mortgages are getting "welfare"? Unbelievable. You really buy the B.S., don't you?
