bentway, How high-fructose corn syrup cost me a couple thousand bucks (well, cost my health insurance a few thousand bucks). About a year and half ago I quit drinking Pepsi. They weighed me at my next physical and my doctor asked what diet I was on. I told him I was not on a diet and the only change was that I stopped drinking Pepsi. I was told that we have to run a bunch of tests for cancer, because "no one loses 40 pounds in four months from just stopping Pepsi". Turns out that may not be correct, for I didn't have cancer.
