I don't generally answer them either - and certainly get my fair share of telemarketing calls. But these caller IDs are all reflecting polling, research & survey firms (some recognizable and others not) and I've never received that type at this volume in the past.

Too funny! Separate and apart from the polling calls, I just received one of the latest political robocalls and let it record on my machine. Guess she's (Porter-Shea) feeling a little lonely. All polls show her losing to anyone with a pulse!

I'm calling from Americans United for Change 202-470-6954. To influence members of congress, the insurance companies hired 2,049 lobbyists. They spent $86 million on misleading ads trying to kill health insurance reforms. All because they want to keep jacking up premiums and denying us coverage. But the insurance companies didn't win because your member of congress, Carol Shea-Porter said "no" to big insurance. And 'yes' to standing up for regular people. Call congresswoman Shea-Porter 202-225-5456. Thank her for standing up for us.
