Ted, there are so many things wrong with this post of yours:

> Europeans believe that bolstering the immune system can help the body fight the cancer. Americans believe that killing the cancer is the best way to go. Unfortunately, the poisons and radioactive treatments American MDs give cancer patients to kill the tumors damages the body. Some day in the future, I am sure the American approach will look barbaric.

- You're pushing non-sensical stereotypes.

- You're trivializing the vast amount of cancer research going on here in America and across the world. (I should know; a couple of my close friends are oncologists.)

- There are MANY different kinds of cancer and MANY different kinds of treatments. To say that Europeans do things one way and Americans do it another way is extreme overgeneralization.

- Health care is highly regulated here in America, and for good reason. Too many "snake oil" salesmen out there trying to take advantage of the sick and dying.

- Even after German treatments, Fawcett still eventually succumbed to her cancer.

- You forgot to quote this part of the article, which clearly illustrates the holistic nature of Fawcett's alternative therapy:

> The theory, Sands says, is "if you bolster the immune system and make it vibrant, then you can kill off cancer cells." But Sands says that approach doesn't have solid scientific proof. "It's really based mostly in theory more than in science."

- The point remains that Fawcett went to Germany not because of higher quality of health care. She went there because she wanted to try something different.
