Here is a guy how knows a bit about platinum and assaying and has spent some time in Colorado and Arizona and perhaps could tell you a bit about desert dirt.

Northern Platinum Wellgreen, Yukon Update

VANCOUVER, B.C.
Northern Platinum is pleased to announce that an intensive underground sampling program is now underway in order to determine the grade and tonnage of massive sulphides which could be quickly extracted if a mining operation was to commence.

The Linda Claims

The assays of 1.3 meters of massive sulphides from the Linda Property, which adjoins the Wellgreen property to the southeast, has returned average grades of 4.12 percent nickel, 0.89 percent copper, 0.060 opt Pt and 0.043 opt Pd. The lower showing is disseminated to semi-massive sulphides over a width of twenty feet of broken rock ranging from 2.94 percent copper and 3.02 percent nickel with platinum and palladium assays as high as 0.13 opt Pt and 0.40 opt Pd. Drilling in the vicinity of the lower showing intersected sulphide mineralization of 0.175 percent copper and 0.187 percent nickel over an intersection of twenty feet. Several new mineral occurrences and geophysical and geochemical anomalies were located during the 1997 season. These warrant exploration by trenching and drilling.

The Arch Claims

The Arch claims adjoin the Wellgreen property to the northwest. A zone of disseminated sulphides was located which assayed 0.41 percent nickel and 0.20 percent copper over a width of forty feet. Results for all the sampling are not yet available. Additional trenching is warranted along untested geophysical and geochemical anomalies.

Western Europe

Northern Platinum is pleased to announce that an invitation has been received to bid on a major exploration and development project in Western Europe together with two other mining corporations. A resolution of the matter is scheduled within the next two weeks. Further details of this project will be furnished if the bid is successful.
