You just lay the motherboard in the case while on its side so your power supply cables reach. Put a couple of screws in the motherboard to protect from shorts on the back of the board. Obviously you have to put in the CPU, but you also have to mount the CPU fan with thermal grease between heatsink and processor or the CPU will overheat in seconds and shut down the computer. For the drive cables to reach you can just use a piece of cardboard resting on the open case edges to set your drives on.
