Farmside isn't a competitor to Zenbu, it's a backhaul for Zenbu and a few Zenbu customers use that. Exactly. Nor would it be a competitor to Globasltar's business case. Different market. ne would look conspicuous installing that outside one's cabin on a cruise ship. Yeap!! Better hope the ship doesn't list or heel or change positions either. Ideally, Globalstar would be built into little highly portable boxes with omnidirectional antennas with wifi links to Zenbu customers in the area. Yes, you are starting to understand. No need to spend millions of dollars designing dedicated satellite phones anymore, with their required subsidies. Just a chip and a reference design to untethered modem manufactures. The Hughes royalty rate seem quite fair at $1 per chip. Not 5% of the entire selling price of the entire product. Hughes technology is 100 times faster and lots cheaper in terms of royalty rates. But $1 a megabyte is not quite aggressive enough. $1 a megabyte is CHEAP, compared to that Cruise Ship pricing of 50¢ a minute. If you set up a Zenbu station on board. I think you would have a crowd gathered around with a sign reselling internet at $5 a megabyte. I mean $5 a megabyte seems fair on a cruise ship. After all, Zenbu triples the price of WiFi access on Cook vs. NZ The new constellation won't be like the launch of an iPhone or iPad for interest, yet it could be so much more. Imagine it, an actual global communications system for voice, skype, email and all that good cyberspace stuff. Indeed!! Throw in some ATC valuations and you might have something.
