When I started this thread it was with great personal upset that my sister who is an alcoholic and been in detox, rehab when she was married and who had been clean for several years relapsed. She just relapsed again the other day. I don't know whether any of you have had experience with binge alcoholism. But it is terrible. I was off shopping for three hours and came home to an unconscious woman. I had to call 911. Her alcohol level at the hospital was 10 times the legal limit. She had drunk one half a gallon of vodka in the two and a half hours I was gone. This is a dreadful disease. She had not had a drink in two years and then all of a suddenly..................... Back to AA for her. Back to Al Anon for me and in the interim she is going back to a addict therapist. My intent was for intimate sharing on this site which of course has not really happened as not many persons want to give up their privacy. We only learn when we share. I did at the time I started this thread get several pm's from persons who had similar circumstances. This is the second time in two years I have saved her life. BUT what if I had not come home when I did........ I have been an emotional wreck ever since and then Friday I ended up at the same ER only mine was a fall from a second curb... that is for cars to park against. I stepped down from the first one and didn't see the second as a huge car had covered most of it. Just the end was extending. Enough to send me flying. Oh the joys of getting old.. I appreciate contributions to this thread and wish that there were more.. However whatever.. It's all fine.
