After reading this extract from a post elsewhere ....
”The Koran says: conquer the whole world and make it submit to the will of Allah”
I was prompted to write the following ....
God, or Jehovah, or Allah, or by whatever name one wishes to give to the Creator, has given to ALL who are born into this world the ability of FREE WILL.
Now why would God, or Jehova, or Allah, who is considered infinite in ALL things, want to impose His/Her WILL on any of us when He/She has deemed it fit to give each of us FREE WILL, to do and choose as we want, with the obvious proviso that we must ALL carry the burden of the repercussions of our actions, as well as to benefit from the experiences of those actions ?
You cannot, on the one hand, give FREE WILL, and then, on the other hand, do anything to restrict or influence that FREE WILL.
That’s not FREE WILL, that’s ‘RESTRICTED’ or ‘IMPOSED’ WILL and would not come from an infinite Source.
In much the same vein, why would God, or Jehova, or Allah, with infinite Love for each of His/Her creations, favour one group of His/Her creations above another group of His/Her creations and expect one group to “conquer” or harm another in His/Her name ?
That which is Infinite has NO favourites and NO needs.
ALL those who have been slugging it out in the Middle East for so many generations may want to consider that.
Likewise, ALL those who strap explosives to their bodies with the express intention of killing and maiming may want to consider that. |
