I don't much care about the opinions of those in near lilly-white states, that is the 'backwards' and 'reactionairy' thing I've done. all useless, aye? and, yes, if you said blacks are stupid, that would be a an attack on any black. your attack on Texans, as ill-defined as you make it, is an attack on all Texans. as if I said people in Afghanistan are simply backward tribal people (neglecting to recognize how many have phds.) or if I said Israilis are rabid racists towards Arabs. or if I said India is useless because they haven't done away with the caste system yet (had to throw that one in, Chinu).

yes, when you make such blanket statements, especially from a rather white land..... it is not helpful to dialoque. and I do not consider it a personal insult so much as that I realize it is the same as when a 'rightie' disses SF for being so liberal (and queer)... lines are drawn. and I am left on on one side apart.
