Election night brings some bad news for CDWN... A lot of potential OTB revenue just went out the window as three VA municipalities quite handily defeated OTB referendums. Yet the stock has already rallied some 20% from last week's low. I do not and have not ever held a position in CDWN but remain an interested third party and want to be ready to jump on this train if it ever gets out of the station!

"Voters in Fredericksburg, Martinsville and Roanoke yesterday rejected off-track betting parlors, derailing Colonial Downs' plans to expand its network into the northern and western regions of the state.

The tally, as of 10 p.m.:

* Fredericksburg -- 2,885 (72 percent) against; 1,138 (28 percent) for.

* Martinsville -- 2,507 (56 percent) against; 1,989 (44 percent) for.

* Roanoke (with 32 of 33 precincts tallied) -- 11,866 (57 percent) against; 8,771 (43 percent) for."
