Hey Tim, surprised to see you're still around!
I suppose the way these food courts are run is a function of the people working behind the counter. When I visited the Marietta, OH Wal-Mart, the food was kept in plastic bags in a small refrigerator under the counter.
What IS a function of Alanco is the distribution. And it's bitter-sweet to hear that they "SELL OUT OF PRODUCT ON THE WEEKENDS."
Nice to hear that the product is moving but how much revenue is being lost because of distribution? How much marketing damage is being done if some poor slob is jonesin' for nuggets and they're all sold out? Pavlov in reverse?
And I have a suspicion that the blame can't be completely placed on the food court manager responsible for placing orders. I heard a similar story in Marietta where they couldn't keep jalopeno poppers in the store. They kept ordering more, but couldn't get their orders completely filled. THIS is a problem! And, it's something that somebody may want to bring up at the shareholders meeting. The next time I get to Marietta, I'll stop in and see if anything's gotten better (or worse) in the last 6 months.
And you're right...Sgt. Fry is kinda weak, I don't know what kind of imagery they were going for. But at least it's better than Alanco Environmental Fry.
