Oil plays - I own some MRO (bought recently) and think it's a decent value - based on metrics like reserve growth, low price/book, oil sand exposure and earnings prospects.

Amongst the supermajors, CVX and TOT are worth a look. CVS (according to some analysts) has a good pipeline of projects that ma keep production growing at above average rates (relative to the competition) for years to come.
