I bet if such a plan were adopted more universally the overall cost of health care would go down.

I've always hated copays and deductibles, and wondered if a high deductible like yours wouldn't be a better way, to go along with a smaller premium and less price gouging and useless CYA tests.

I don't pay as much monthly and my deductible is way smaller, but the government pays a little over half of my health care benefits as a condition of my former employment. The total monthly is probably twice as much as yours.
