I believe you are wrong. Term limits being set by states were found to be unconstitutional, and this case was brought forth after the democrats succeeded in blocking what we the people want...term limits back in 1994.

If you will recall, the republicans were unable to get the two thirds required back then because of the democrats fighting the term limits. The bill was that senators could serve two 6 year terms and the House members could serve six 2 year terms.

Politicians can correct this, but we know we will not see term limits considered under a democrat controlled congress.
