In the early 90s I lived in Kenai, Alaska, and we often drove from there to Anchorage. On the way was a huge majestic glacier - Seward glacier. It's been there like, forever. They built a visitor's center for it and everything.

I went back up there a couple years ago. Guess what - glacier gone. Now it's a big puddle. The visitor's center is sad and wet.

Therefore, with regard to global warming....I'm not sure what. I just know the visitor's center at Seward (ex)glacier is depressing.

And with all due respect to Shiva and Thor, I think these guys are on the right track:
