Now days, the corporate only buy system that can run Windows NT Workstation 4.0 (NT 5.0 for next year). Those sub-zero systems cannot run Windows NT at reasonable speed. Compare to the maintenance cost, the system/computer purchase cost is nothing.

The best way to save money for corporate America is not trying to save a few hundred bucks in system purchase, but to have a better planning for the next few steps.
