atech, >would be using a mac< i know, i know. but i'm in the graphics biz and i grew up on the mac. i'm looking forward to the chirp (common hardware interface ? platform, i think) release. although i'm not familiar with how far along the development process is, i have read that it is actually progressing nicely, and will be a reality in the near future. i've never even seen a pc up close and personal like, which probably is to my disadvantage, but i'm a fast learner. the thing with telnetting is that i can't find a navigator plug-in for my machine, (that's what it's asking for at least) which i presume would allow me to run activex. but why would microsoft do that? good luck with your amat pick. see ya out there. : ) gb
