I object to the the way he implied I may have been supportive of bank parasites and I object the the way he implied two wrongs make a right.

It's an emotional issue and as you and I BOTH KNOW sometimes we talk past one another.. ;0)

You've done a fine job with revealing the problems with Public Unions, as well as ranting against the big bank bailouts.

So far as I understand the nuances of the issue, I think you and I agree that public unions are superfluous, as well as fraught with political moral hazard.

That said, having civil service positions politicized by a political patronage system is also not advantageous, so some measure of protection needs to be in place so qualified civil servants aren't arbitrarily dismissed because they are aligned with the wrong political party. That's particularly important considering the current administration in power.

Btw, I see that that UAW has decided to opt out of it's ownership stake in Ford to pay off their pension obligations, rather than maintain a cooperative shareholder stake in the company.
