I am now own a small position in Deswell, as of yesterday.Let me make the following points: 1.Nam Tai will not acquire Deswell.In fact,NTAIF has been selling its shares in DSWLF.In July,1997 it sold 160,000 shares,and owns 1.9% of the outstanding shares. 2.My own estimates of sales and earnings are very close to Paul's estimates.The important point is that I do not expect to see dramatic increases in sales or earnings. 3.Ntaif may have sold additional shares sometime after September 1997. I do think that Deswell is a good long-term investment,and will add to my position from time to time(given that eps for the 3rd qtr is at least $.45). David
