I think it is important to acknowledge when Obama does something right. If we do not we lose all credibility when we are critical. As for the drilling, the devil is always in the details. Obama is the master of the bull fighters cape. However, until proven otherwise - this appears to be a good and for once rational energy move. As for Alaskan clout - every senate vote counts. The new D senator can roll over like a puppy or he could force recognition of the needs of Alaska. As we have seen - Senate votes can be sold for a great price. Our D here in Ohio get nothing - as Sherrod Brown is a solid lefty. I will say though - even he has stood up against cap and trade which would be a disaster for Ohio. He Brown wants to be reelected.
