Re: VectorVest analysis - Does anyone know what formula/estimation service they are using to derive their earnings growth percentages?
I noticed that they had NE at 30%. First Call shows NE to be increasing earnings to $2.01 next year or 90% growth. I have read that analysts have predicted NE will do $3.00 in 99 (another 50%) and $4.00 in 2000 (another 33%).
I've noticed with a couple of other drillers Vector Vest seemed to have their growth too low, as well. Are these 5 year averages, or are they factoring in previous years. TIA. Maybe if they used some of the drillers actual projected earnings they could come up with a new category - something like " Screaming Buy".Carl
