Either be part of the solution or get out of the way.
"We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive."
- C. S. Lewis
Your side is doing nothing about solutions
This isn't about two sides. There isn't "your side" and "my side", there are a large variety of opinions.
I assume you mean Republicans. Of course that's a large group with different opinions of its own, but they have proposed a number of solutions in all different ways (from articles and reports, to proposed amendments to legislation).
Or since your talking about me you might be talking about conservatives, and/or libertarians (different groups than "Republicans", although there is overlap, esp. with conservatives), well the same thing here, they have proposed different ideas.
But the combination of entrenched special interests, and the politics of the "progressives", and even "moderates", keep many of these ideas from even being seriously considered by more than a relatively small circle of people. |
