Coopie your right about Innovacom, ther are going to exploit the market!Dont be surprised to see Hambrecht and Quist join the bandwagon soon.

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Nov. 5, 1997--A new two-way
medical imaging and conferencing system that will permit diagnosis and
case management by pathologists, traumatologists and other specialists
from home or other remote locations using MPEG-2 compressed video over
Ethernet or other data links will be introduced by InnovaCom, Inc.
(OTC/BB:MPEG) at TeleCon XVII in Anaheim, Nov. 5-7, 1997.

John J. Champlin, M.D., recently named to InnovaCom's Board of
Directors, said the new system, called DTP-Digital TelePresence, is
unique in that it combines the newest MPEG-2 compressed digital video
technology from InnovaCom, with state-of-the-art transmission options
that include Local Area and Wide Area Networks, phone company data
lines, small satellite distribution as well as Ethernet connections.

''In developing this product a major objective has been to combine the
newest technologies to introduce more practical ways for the medical
community to deliver tertiary care capabilities to hospitals and
practices in remote locations.

''Traumatologists, for instance, can diagnose patients on our DTP
two-way system from any distant location, including their homes.
Applications for pathologists, specialists and direct support of
mid-level practitioners are numerous,'' he added. ''The picture quality
and lower transmission costs of InnovaCom's MPEG-2 technology are
significant.''

Mark C. Koz, InnovaCom president and chairman, said the company's
Digital TelePresence as used in medical diagnostics is yet another
application of MPEG-2 video compression technology in what is becoming a
rapidly expanding marketplace. ''The use of compressed video over
professional networks in the field of medicine, as well as related
corporate intranet uses, is grounded in present day economic models and
is designed to meet immediate market requirements,'' Koz said.

Digital TelePresence data systems can be decoded and received on most
Pentium-based computers on existing networks. The system works with
standard computers using InnovaCom's MPEG-2 video compression card.

DTP systems will be available in 90 days.

InnovaCom's booth number at TeleCon is 1805-7.

InnovaCom, Inc. is a leading developer of MPEG-2 products for broadcast
quality video compression. InnovaCom's single-chip MPEG-2 encoder,
scheduled for shipment the first quarter of 1998, for satellite, cable,
broadcast, and consumer applications will exceed the performance of
currently available multichip solutions. Visit InnovaCom's website at
