All are important:
"So what is more important? Capitalization? Asset Quality? Profitability? Liquidity? Stability?"
Also important IMO, is a bank that has over $250M in assets. Probably best to shy away from a bank with too little total assets for liquidity reasons.

My recommendation, go to the trouble of getting an A+ (or A) rated bank even if far away from where you live. Then setup ACH between your brokerage account and that bank. Thus with ACH, within 24 hours you can transfer funds from your brokerage account to a very safe A+ bank if a more serious financial crisis comes about.

There are less than 70 A+ rated banks in the US last time I checked. And don't expect much yield from your CD or money market account from a A+ rated bank, their interest rates are much less than the average bank rate. But safety is just a few mouse clicks away with ACH transfer.
