Iran Buying Embargoed Arms in Italy Revealed

The Italian media reported today that the Italian anti-terrorist police have arrested Italian and Iranian individuals suspected in trafficking arms to Iran. The investigation shows a complex web of Iranian front companies all over Europe where they routinely shop for arms through the black market looking for willing suppliers who would risk for a profit. According to the investigation the Iranian spies had shopped for sniper scopes, various types of munitions, explosive chemicals, helicopters, parachutes, helmets and scuba gear worth millions of dollars. Some of those sniper scopes transferred to Tehran ended up in the hands of Taliban. The German police started an investigation after tracing the serial number of the sniper scopes recovered from Taliban militants firing on the German forces.Manoucher Mottaki, Iran’s foreign minister, immediately rejected the charges and called the arrest as politically motivated.
Having served in the Revolutionary Guards as a CIA spy, I know first hand of the Iranian operation. Their operation involves all of Iran shipping line and Airline offices, Banks, Schools, Mosques, cultural centers, embassies and consulates. However this is not all, almost every company in business for imports and exports with Iran serves as a front company. Agents of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence along with the Guards’ Quds forces are spread through the above channels and operate in conjunction with each other. Their operation involves buying arms, assassinating opposition members and expanding their terrorist network. While in Europe, I witnessed Mosques used as recruitment centers, Consulates used for transfer of cash and explosives and front companies used to station Quds force officers. Mr.Mottaki has continuously denied such acts on the behalf of the Islamic Regime, however a former Guard member himself was involved in two assassination attempts while serving in Turkey as the regime’s ambassador in Ankara, and that is one distinction all Iranian diplomats share.
The questions still remains though, when will we realize that we are dealing with a kind of government that not only has no respect for its own citizens but also is bent in destroying the West and nothing short of regime change in Iran by supporting the aspirations of the Iranian people will work. The West has tried sanctions for the past thirty years and the net result has been Zero. Its time to take drastic measures and look for just one outcome and that is regime change in Iran.
