No, the constitution is what the highest courts in the land say it is and as new issues arise and new jurists are seated the constitution shrinks, grows and changes. In other words, it's nuanced and you have to look for shades of gray, not black and whites. Yes, if the best legal minds this country has to offer take a long, detailed and wide angled view of a provision that's been the subject of brilliant legal analysis for decades and find against your cartoon book opinion, then they must be wrong.
