Knock on wood .. so far so good up my way. I've actually had an easier time this year because the snow melted before the rains arrived. (Two or three years ago we had a couple back to back drenching spring storms which dumped the same volume of rain as these last couple did - but the damage was compounded because of the deep snow and quick melt.)

Plus, in the good ol' days, folks were a lot more practical about these things. I live in an old, old house on a steep hill and my cellar floor has a slight incline leading to a drain in the corner which goes who knows where (though it's rumored that an old gravel filled dry well and an unapproved sewer connection is part of the equation). All I know is that water comes in .. and water goes out .. with no pumping required. As long as I keep everything out of the water's path, life is good and the furnace dries the floor quickly after the rain ends and the ground water levels go down.

In 1992 I was working in Montpelier, VT and had just gotten to work when an ice jam diverted the Winooski River from its normal path to one that ran right down the main street and around a bend until it found its way back into its banks. In just a few minutes, State St went from a dry road to a raging river. Talk about a mess!!
