Iowa is home to a cousin of mine...She lives on a small hill, BUT the ground is so saturated and still so much snow, that her basement is continually flooding. She got one sump pump, even though the business where she got it, said she didn't need it. Now, the one can't keep up, she's having to put in another. In the meantime she is using the shop vac to try to keep up with the water. Much of mid-Iowa is having trouble too.

But regardless, am very sorry to hear of all the water problems so many communities and citizens are having.

However, that still doesn't answer the question: In Obama's mind....Why wouldn't an extension work better than a one month change in due date?

I think you are right....there are too many refunds due, and perhaps not enough cash to return the funds....
