That's what makes translucent glass solar panels the holy grail. All most all skyscrapers are all glass now days. Or at least the majority of their surfaces.

properly sized overhangs



Note no overhangs on his buildings. Since the sun is higher in the summer he theorizes it's more efficient this way. Glass that could reflect heat when it makes sense would certainly go a long way making such a building more efficient.
