I would think that anyone asserting that the GOP and conservative D's "blocked the real cost cutting measures" should be able to come up with a couple off the top of the head. The public option...the single largest cost cutting measure in the bill was killed because of GOP filibuster creating the need to have 60 votes for passage...and Lieberman, Lincoln, Nelson... there may have been another conservative dems I can't thing of now.
