It WASN'T great... Look at the RESULTS... It took us 200 years to get to the debt we had when Carter left office, but Reagan TRIPLED that debt in his EIGHT years. And Reagan had TREMENDOUS economic growth because Volcker squeezed the economy to death before gradually letting the pressure off through lower rates. Reagan's ONLY legacy is this "lower tax" stuff. The Republicans have taken that as their mantra while just IGNORING all the LESS government stuff that Reagan originally preached but never followed through on. It's a WONDERFUL deal for the Republicans. What a great thing to campaign on, "I'm gonna tax you LESS but give you MORE." ENOUGH ALREADY...
