Thanks for the clarification, I was misunderstanding your views.

I agree there are many things which directly or indirectly promote home ownership and hence do inflate housing prices, and removing them would result in significant readjustments, the time frame for that depending on how it was done. I'm pretty sure that intentionally crashing prices is not in the cards, and likely should not be.
