Todays Buddhist and Taoist teachings seem to be much more useful than Christian version. The 2000 years of "telephone game" propagated through the Catholic church seems to have been particularily twisted. For example... when DID the pope supposedly start making "infallible" decisions? When DID the "holy spirit" supposedly start to "guide the Catholic church" as "the special bride of Christ"... presumably (in the special way, anyway) to the exclusion of others? I mean, how transparent an evil are those ideas (traditions or divine proclamations?)... propagated to THIS DAY: <Sodano's praise for Benedict as well as the church's 400,000 priests worldwide cranked up a vigorous campaign by the Holy See to counter what it calls a "vile" smear operation orchestrated by anti-Vatican media aimed at weakening the papacy and its moral authority.> Papacy's "moral authority".... ummm, really? Via those infallible decisions no doubt? news.yahoo.com Yet somehow the much of Buddhist and Taoist teachings seem to have avoided such ridiculous tampering. Go figure. DAK PS...
