JP, I agree that the goal of using remote video in medicine is a good goal. My only concern is that Innovacon is hyping video medicine in an attempt to bolster its stock, when in fact, many companies have been working on this technology. The press release from Innovacon is even more lacking in detail than its other releases. Image compression is useful for x-rays as a means for storing them in a database, as uncompressed x-rays require lots of storage space. I intended for my skepticism to be directed at Innovacon, not at video medicine. Sorry if I went overboard in my exuberance! BillyG
