Mish stated- By the last year of the contract, the average driver's annual compensation will reach $109,553, Waste Management said, and the company will contribute more than $15,000 per year to each employee's pension fund. He implies the $15,000 contribution is a separate expense and not part of the $109,553 which is not true based upon the document you posted. It would be a clearer description of the facts to state all of the separate expenses that make up the compensation figure. But then it wouldn't seem as outrageous which works against the writer. BTW- I am not trying to defend their salary as $74,000 a year is probably more than most grade school teachers earn.
