That is one thing about the 'Tea Party' groups that II think the mass media most consistently seems to miss --- most of the groups are pretty adamant that they are 'not a political party' and don't want to be.

Which makes them fairly unique in the American experience, many previous outpourings of emotion in the public arena have been 'wrangled' and massaged and managed so as to harness the energy toward building hierarchies, self sustainable political fiefdoms and whatnot....
