Somtimes men worshipped angels when they were awed by their presence. Usually the angels said "get up. You should worship God."

Now, Jesus was worshipped on the earth -- where did he tell people to get up and not worship? Didn't tell the blind man that who opened his eyes. When his eyes were opened -- HE WORSHIPPED JESUS. Is there a lesson here?

Go look at Psalms 2 as well.

There is perhaps one scripture in all of the NT that can be construed as supporting your thesis -- Jesus' exchange with the rich young ruler -- Jesus said "Why do you call me good, noone is good except God alone." I think this was a response to flattery on the part of the ruler and his desiring to justify himself.

If you don't accept the divinity of Jesus I don't know that I can accept your claim to be His follower. There are elements which are not a matter of ones own opinion -- this is one of them.
