Piper Jaffray equity analyst Troy Jensen raised a rating on shares of EMC Corp.to overweight from neutral and increased a price target on the stock to $22 from $20 on Apr. 5.

In a note, Jensen said the rating change was based on the belief that "EMC's product portfolio has never been stronger and the current valuation looks compelling".

"We believe EMC is the best-positioned storage infrastructure vendor that will benefit from the movement toward cloud computing, due to the company's broad portfolio of products that can satisfy all the requirements of a cloud computing provider," he wrote. "From server virtualization (VMware) to scalable storage (Vblocks and Atmos) to security (RSA) to backup and recovery (Data Domain and Avamar), EMC can address all the primary requirements of a cloud computing provider," Jensen said.
