Because they aren't.

Because truth matters.

For the same reason that "Democrat" and "Republican" are not "the same thing"....

For the same reason that chickens and dinosaurs are not "the same thing" (despite having much DNA in common between them).

And for the exact same reason that "orange" and "green" are "not the same color"... (despite having 50% of their constituent components exactly in common: the color yellow).

Because they simply AREN'T.
