I don't believe the Football package will be a big deal because Dish is trying to be the low cost option. I have Direct TV and despite being a BIG football watcher, I've never been able to justify the Sunday Ticket price. I have the network feeds and my local stations to get a very good variety of games. Of course the high rollers can afford Sunday Ticket but they will likely buy Direct TV anyway (more sports, more movies, more status, etc.).

I'm concerned about the $50 offer vs. Direct TV's $100 offer. For the same reasons stated above, Dish needs to be the lowest cost option available. To the customer that Dish is trying to attract, $50 savings at the time of purchase would make a big difference.

But, what do I know?
