The CBO is not infallible, they just present another opinion.

I'd certainly be willing to listen to the arguments they present, but I don't accept the argument from authority that "the CBO says X, therefore X is true".

I'm not "presenting a right wing source" as an authority, I'm providing analysis and rational discussion about how the mandates will increase cost.

If you force companies to insure people with pre-existing conditions it greatly increases the cost for insurance. You can either dump that cost on them, in which case the benefit they get from qualifying for insurance is minimal if it exists at all (sure you can get insurance, just write a check for $20,000 each month), or it gets spread to everyone else raising what they have to pay.

The list of conditions that the federal government is saying must be covered also increases insurance costs. The more the insurance company will pay for, the more expensive paying for it will be.

Now there may be some other points which will lower costs. I'd be happy to here your arguments about them. But pointing out that someone else says the costs will be lower isn't presenting an argument about them.
