I was hoping Wharf would comment on the scientific feasibility of this. We already pump water up a 1200 ft grade as it goes from the upper Sacramento Valley to LA--that's where the nuclear power comes in.

And you're right about the charges for water not reflecting the true costs---we need to bring those 19th century "water rights" people into the 21st.

Something on the scale of what I am talking about will have to happen or the people in those states will go the way of the Anazi.
