This Mexican situation is a natural outcome of a Latin Culture and cannot be fixed by anything less that total Globalization, which will take at least a century.

When we legalize pot, and we will, the gangs will just up the Cocaine part of the trade. If we legalize hard drugs, they will turn to kidnapping and other normal gangster activities. Although at a lower level since the money won't be as good.

But while you will see us legalize pot, legalizing hard drugs is not even on the horizon. The Mexican Elites are making a lot of money from drugs and they are not about to stop them.

If they didn't like their corrupt culture, they would change it.
