- The question is why would Bank of Nova Scotia issue gold/silver certificates without the physical. Have no idea if they are doing so. And if they are, one must check the specifics of those certificates. Maybe they do not beed ScotiaMocatta to have the gold in their vault. The gold can be in another vault. Or maybe it can even be loaned.
