Re: " the announcement on Monday" No way can this announcement be a merger. Withholding information of a planned merger for weeks for release on a scheduled date is begging for litigation. IMO I speculate the "jaw dropping" stuff is faster machines. I speculate the "changing how we do business" is the on-line store (including build to order) somehow involving the major distributors. I speculate (more of a reach) a network computer tied in with Lucent to sell to big biz and oracle to give it something to do. This event is for the Mac faithful, not the investment community, IMO. I predict the usual runup followed by the usual rundown in the stock price. Any merger news (if there were any) would come before. IMO Holy cow, can this guy Jobs play with the minds of the populous. Hope he never starts a real religion. IMHO
